This book is well written, silly, and fun. There is really only one steamy scene, but it's suitably steamy and the flirting and relationship building is good. This is the second book in this series so the storyline follows and progresses along the series path. Seamus is a very uptight vampire and it's good to see him finally letting go and taking a chance. Cara has been burned in a previous relationship too, so she's distrustful but she takes a chance on Seamus and he's worth the risk.

I liked this series it's a different take on vampires funny with enough action and adventure to keep you interested. Enjoy!

Betterworld books is awesome to order from. They take care of their clients and nice to do business with. This is also a great series!
What's not to love about any book in this series? Nothing! There's vampire politics, angst, and sex. How can you go wrong, especially when it's fuuny as all get out. Read the whole series. Worth every penny paid!
Seamus Fox changed, and not quite for the good.

The previous book in the series, the first one depicted Seamus as being an uptight, no nonsense kind of guy, but then in this book he kind of just breaks down and loses... character? I really dislike it when author's do this. It doesn't fit when you make person A solid, and then have them turn into a pile of mush in the next book. There has to be a gradual change so it's realistic and so you can follow through with it.

Other than that large flaw, the book proved to be fun, and funny. The characters tend to grow on you, and I like the fact that all of the characters are still interacting with one another in all of the books.
This is the second book in the Las Vegas Vampire series.

Seamus is a 370 year old vampire. He has been celibate for 200 years. His main focus is politics. He is the best friend and campaign manager for the current vampire president, Ethan (High Stakes). They are currently campaigning for re-election.

Cara is a stripper by night and going to school to become a vet by day. But she also has some wonderful contradictions. For example, when she dances she only strips behind a screen. There is more but I don't want to spoil anything )

Seamus is immediately drawn to the woman he first sees dancing behind the screen.

But after leaving the club, a vampire fight starts in the alley and Cara is caught in the middle. Both of their lives are going to be changed...

This is a great follow up to the first. As usual Erin gives you a fast paced story with wonderful characters. Seamus and Cara are great together. There are many laugh out loud moments. Some very hot sex scenes, and a little action thrown in.

Can't wait for the next one!
This is a must read! After reading and really liking High Stakes byErin McCarthy I went right on to the second installment.
Bit the Jackpotis about Seamus Fox a campaign manager for the Vampire Nation President and Cara Kim, a Vegas stripper who also happens to be a virgin. They meet after Seamus goes into a strip club looking for someone else and doesn't expect to see a beautiful dancer behind a screen. She was the best dancer he has ever seen and it was the first woman to catch his eye is almost 300 years. With the campaign right around the corner and the vampire laws he has stood for for so many years all comes back and bites in him the ass (not literally).
I thought this book was great, you get a little taste of the characters from the first book which is always awesome to see how they are doing and you get to learn more about Seamus who came across as a stuck up, prude type vampire. The is a perfect amount of everything in this. You have your steamy not overdone romance and sexy scenes, you have your action, a perfect amount of humor and awesome characters. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who likes and of those things and now I am on to the third installment Bled Dry.
