I've been a John Romita Jr fan since I first saw his work way back in Amazing Spider-man #208. Therefore I try to get any comic that is drawn by him. His work on Spider-man is always the best.
The story in this issue was also pretty good. It is Spider-man vs. The Thunderbolts. It wasn't my favorite Spider-man story but it was still pretty good.
Overall, this is a good graphic novel to get but not the best Spidey graphic novel. If you're a Spider-man fan you would probably like this one.

Spider-Man New Ways To Die, was an okay entry in the new Spider-Man series. The Anti-Venom was an interesting idea, but I'm not so sure they pulled it off right.
I just have to say that i haven't fully finished with this book yet but i'm almost done and so far I LOVE the return of Eddie Brock and the new found anti-hero ANTI-VENOM. Whoever had this idea first was a genius. In real life a disease or "venom" of a scorpion or snake, will always have an Anti-Venom and i think bringing that thought into the comic is a great idea.
I've been on a mission to hunt down everything involving Norman Osborns Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers so i was stoked when i found this and i freakin love Romita Jr's Spiderman art !!! Not to mention it's the first appearance of Anti Venom. The story is awesome !!!
Great Spider-Man story, loved every part of it, worth a buy and read.
It was interesting, like most spiderman comics, the citizens take spiderman for granted , btw, spiderman doesnt wear the black suit so the cover is misleading but still an interesting book.
Decent collection. Not a fan of the art style, it isn't terribly ugly, just not my cup of tea. Story wise there's a lot going on that is touched on but resolved in other volumes so this might feel a little incomplete. The big story here is the debut of Anti-Venom which if you are a Venom/Eddie Brock fan makes it worth reading. Overall I'd rate it a 3.5 Above average but not fantastic.
Just finished reading this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't read a spider-man comic in many years but it was no problem for me to follow the story. This collection provides appropriate back story and explains everything well. Plus the art is absolutely beautiful. I wish I could pull some of the panels out for wall art. Venom is my favorite comic book character and I love anything involving the symbiote. I highly recommend.
