Ray Vander Laan is an amazing teacher; using a very simple, down-to-earth approach, he is able to explain the context, culture, and history behind biblical passages you only thought you understood before. He makes things so clear. I have "aha" moments every time I watch one of his DVD lessons. I recommend all of them. We do them as a family on Sunday evenings.
Extremely well presented geography and history presentation with a "take-away" closing thought for each lesson. I have viewed other Video (DVD) presentations by Mr. Vander Lan for comparison. The Life and Ministry of the Messiah is a five star presentation.
You will learn so much by purchasing and viewing and reviewing the Faith Lesson Series DVDs by Ray Vander Laan. We had a Bible Study Group centered around these tapes, and everyone gained so much knowledge on the bible stories and events we felt we knew fairly well. Ray takes it further. I feel every Christian should watch these DVDs and grow their faith.
I have purchased Ray Vander Laan Faith Lessons before, and I can't praise the product enough. Our Bible Class enjoys the sights and the messages each lesson brings. Plus a plaudit for the legendary service I always receive from on each order I place.
The details of the Bible come to life in this series. The life of Jesus and His Ministry really takes on a new meaning.The videos share not only the physical features where things took place but it includes meanings of terms used that people understood at the time and now are explained for our generations.
All of Ray Vander Laan's DVD's are wonderful and his presentations are so informative. He takes you to Turkey and the Holy Land and walks you thru the places of the Bible.
